January goals:
1. Mail out Marion's RR. Done.
2. Start stitching the januari pinkeep from Maryse. Finished the stitching!
3. Finally continue some stitching on the Snowbuddies Afghan. Unfortunately... nope...
4. Finish the Dragon Dreams christmas ornament. Stitching is ready and it's too cute!
5. Do some stitches in a WIP (work in progress) Finished 2 WIP's, major happy dance!
6. Make a WIP list. Done that ;)

I also started 2 new thingies, one already finished, one about half done and I finally got round to winding all my new DMC floss on bobbins. My stash corner in the attic needed some attention (......) and I managed to get it a little bit more organised too. Busy month don't you think?

February goals:
1. Stitch and mail Diana's RR.
2.  Finally put the sewing machine on the table and make the finished stitchings into real finishes.
3. Finish the dragon I'm stitching for Jan (my eldest).
4. Non stitchy, finally make my mum a tea cozy (I intended to do that about 3 years ago, so another big chunck of shame on me)
5. If there's time left I would love to start stitching for my sister. I bought her a great design, but I can't show it, cause she 's reading my blog also (making a funny face at you Suzan :) ).

That seems enough for me, afterall February is a short month LOL.

Heey, didn't know you were gonna make mom a tea cosy? But how on earth is that going to fit over her tealight warmer too? :P
And what's with miss-spelling my name?! There's no way you'll get your books back now! I'm afraid only that little stitched project of yours will do.. *cheeky grin*

Hello, I'm writing from Massachusetts, USA. You have some very pretty pieces. Where are you from? I am new to the world of stitching and have been browsing various blogs to try and gain some knowledge and get some tips / ideas. I originally started with a stamped, then counted “kits”. I’m working on my 2nd chart and have noticed some big differences in floss types and quality.
My Cross Stitch Mentor has told me that I’m ready to graduate from Aida, but I really like Aida. Maybe it’s just beginner’s comfort???
If you would answer my question… What type of fabric or fabrics do you prefer and why? Brands and counts?
I would appreciate any advice, thanks!

HI there ;), thanks for visiting my blog and for leaving your comment.
I'll try and answer your questions.
The choice between aida and other fabric is very personal. When I started stitching I used eavenweave (didn't even know of the existence of aida!) that's still my favorite fabric, it's soft and easy to handle, and I think the floss coveres the fabric better than it does using aida. I usually stitch on 28 count eavenweave and jobelan is my most used brand, although Zweigart has some beautiful fabrics as well.
Linen is my latest victory over fabric ;) it's like using eavenweave but the fabric does wrinkle easier and I do a lot of stitching out of hand... Let me see, all questions covered? No, I haven't told you that I'm from the Netherlands yet.... that's it for now, feel free to come again.
